TESDA MAK-CHAPTER Give Back Project to the Teso Community: School Outreach & Mentorship Initiative (23rd–25th September 2026)

My name is Okiring Bildad, a student at Makerere University and the Chairperson of the TESO Students’ Development Association, Makerere University Chapter (TESDA-MAK CHAPTER).
I am raising funds to support the TESDA Give Back Project to the Teso Community, a three-day school outreach initiative happening from 23rd–25th September 2026.
We are taking university knowledge beyond the lecture room and directly to 11 schools across Kapelebyong District, Amuria District and Soroti City. Our goal is to reach thousands of learners through career guidance and mentorship, leadership training, psychosocial support, menstrual hygiene education, and environmental conservation activities.
The funds we raise will go directly toward transport, educational and menstrual hygiene materials, tree seedlings, environmental activities, printing and communication, and volunteer welfare.
For me, this is not just about raising money, it is about raising opportunities. We want a learner in Teso to hear a career story, gain confidence, learn something practical and believe that their background does not have to determine their future.
This is our way of giving back, and with the support of well-wishers, we can turn this vision into real impact from 23rd–25th September 2026
