Help the twins stay in school

For twin sisters in secondary school, education represents more than classroom lessons. It is their pathway to a brighter future, an opportunity to develop their talents, and a chance to become independent women who can contribute positively to their community.

Today, however, that dream is at risk.

The sisters have accumulated overdue school fees and are now at the verge of dropping out of school. Despite their determination to continue learning, their family is struggling to meet the financial demands of their education. The growing fees balance, together with essential school requirements, has placed their education in serious jeopardy.

Imagine being a young girl with dreams of completing secondary school, knowing that you may have to leave your classroom not because you have failed, not because you lack ambition, but simply because your family cannot afford the cost of keeping you in school.

This is the reality facing these two sisters.

As Purple Hearts Initiative-Uganda, a nonprofit CBo committed to supporting vulnerable children and promoting access to education, we believe that financial hardship should never be the reason a child is forced to abandon school.
