Help us give our pupils a better place to sleep and learn

At Nakateete Inclusive Nursery and Primary School, we are doing our best to keep education within reach of children from economically challenged families, while creating a school where children with disabilities,Deaf and hearing children can learn together.

Many of the children with disabilities and Deaf that we support come from deep in the villages. For them, travelling to and from school every day is unsafe, so most stay in our boarding section to make it possible for them to attend school consistently.

This has helped them access education, but it has also brought another challenge we do not have enough proper beds and bedding for the children. We also need standard desks and chairs for them to learn comfortably.

It is difficult to ask a child to focus on learning when the basic things they need for comfort and dignity are still missing.

That is why we are reaching out for support.

We are raising funds to provide beds, mattresses, bedsheets, blankets and standard school furniture for our children.

You don't have to provide everything. A contribution towards one mattress, one bed, one desk or a set of bedding can make a real difference.

For us, this campaign is simply about making sure that a child who has already overcome barriers to accessing education can sleep comfortably, learn with dignity and feel that they belong.
