The Story
I'm currently working on two projects.
The first is Leb Lango AI Translator, a tool I'm building to translate Leb Lango, a language spoken in Northern Uganda. My goal is to help our language become part of the digital world and preserve it for future generations.
The second is MalariaVisionDx, a project that uses AI to look at blood-smear images and help detect malaria, especially in places where advanced medical equipment may not be easily available.
I've already built and tested both projects, but my current computer is limiting how far I can take them. Training better AI models, working with larger datasets, and properly testing my projects requires a more powerful machine.
I'm raising UGX 3,000,000 to purchase a computer that will become my main workstation for AI development and research.
This isn't just about getting a better computer. It's about giving ideas that have already started the tools to grow.
If you believe in young people using technology to create solutions for their own communities, I'd be glad to have you be part of this journey.
